Grafische kaart: GeForce RTX 3060.
Description
The edge device is deployed within the local network of the practice in case the available upload bandwidth to the cloud is insufficient to support the requirements of the Primescan 2 scanning device.
The edge device hosts services that perform the necessary computations (which otherwise would be executed in the cloud) on site, such that an interactive scanning experience is possible even with low-bandwidth internet connections.
All software on the edge device (including the operating system and before mentioned services) is managed from the cloud and automatically updated when new software releases become available.
Cybersecurity measures
The Edge device is protected against security threats from the network by the following features:
Connections to device are encrypted with SSL/TLS and remote access is protected.
Connections to device must be allowed by the user of the cloud platform.
Despite these measures, we recommend:
Allowing only edge devices that you recognize to establish a connection to the cloud platform.
Restricting physical access to the IT infrastructure of your practice or clinic and the cloud platform to employees and people who actually need access to it.
Making sure that access data are kept safe and not forwarded to third parties at all. Dentsply Sirona or its partners will not ask you for access data.
Dentsply Sirona will not contact you to report any perceived security problems in your system.
In case of doubt, proactively contact our support via our official channels. This is how you protect yourself against fraud attempts.
Ensuring that systems you use to access Dentsply Sirona systems always have the latest security updates installed.
Security measures such as up-to-date virus protection and up to date firewall settings are urgently recommended. If necessary, consult experts about securing your systems.
Having the information security of your internal network checked by a security specialist.
